Welcome to the official website of the Mauritanian Organization for the Defense of Human Rights and Human Development (OMDHD).
We are an independent civil organization working to promote and protect human rights and to anchor the principles of justice, equality and human dignity. We also support sustainable human development, the empowerment of the most vulnerable groups, and the building of a cohesive society founded on citizenship, solidarity and respect for fundamental rights and freedoms.
Through our programs, initiatives and national and international partnerships, we spread rights awareness, strengthen the capacities of youth and women, address community development issues, and contribute to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals in Mauritania.
